5. The Activity Of God

Verse Of The Day: May 5

Ecclesiastes‬ ‭11:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things.”

‭‭Thought:

My son recently asked me a confronting question about God's activity. "Dad, if God is so powerful, why does He let us do bad things?"

The question made perfect sense because we all feel an inner sense of what is right and wrong. And, although we don't like it when people do wrong to us, we also know we have done wrong to others. So why does God let us behave so badly?

The mystery is found in our free will. We have the option to do good or bad. It's our choice. Every choice affects multiple people and a myriad of situations.

The activity of God is about governing the whole world and all it's people. He often needs to intervene because of the bad decisions we have made. Sometimes He can wait and let us correct our mistakes but His necessary involvement is designed to help all of us.

If you don't understand what God is doing, just remember, He sees things from a much higher, wider and deeper perspective. God is trying to fix the whole world, not just my little world.

Question:

Why is it important to never get frustrated with what God is doing?

Prayer:

Father God, You are the creator of heaven and earth and You watch everything that is happening. Forgive me for the times where I don't see things the way You see them. Help me to flow with what You are doing in the earth. Amen.
