Verse Of The Day: May 15

Psalms‬ ‭118:24‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Thought:

One of the most common sick days of the week is Monday. For years I have heard it called Mondayitis - I just don't want to go to work. Some people talk themselves into being sick so they can have the day off.

How could being sick be better than going to work? Well, maybe you have a really bad job. Some people do. But for most of us, it simply comes down to our perspective on life.

The moment you understand that this is the day that the Lord has made, it can change everything. There's a big difference between the day God has made and the things we do in the day. What we do can be terrible and inhumane. But the day itself is breathtaking and full of possibilities.

God made today so that we could maximise it and discover it's full potential. So we rejoice in this day and we are glad in it.

Question:

What is the best way for me to separate the day God has made and the things people do in the day?

Prayer:

God, You are creator and You make the day. Thank you for all its possibilities and the purpose You have for it. Help me to make the most of today. I want to rejoice and be glad in it.

Amen.
