Take Another Look At Trust
Trust is a relational currency that transcends the basics of belongings and the glory of gold. Without trust we can say goodbye to a lifetime of hard work and a dynasty of excellence.
Isaiah 26:4 NLT
“Trust in the LORD always, for the LORD GOD is the eternal Rock.”
One main reason our relationships struggle is because our love is not dependable. We let each other down. We fail one another. Then we look with suspicion upon others that have not yet failed us. We become skeptical of some humans when other humans have hurt us.
How do we trust again?
I have found I need at least one person I can trust to help me have hope again for others. My wife (Julia) is someone I can trust explicitly. I guess she could fail me but she has a brilliant track record. This helps me know it's possible to again trust others.
The main reason I know I can trust again is because of who Jesus is. He is an eternal rock. This means He is steadfast, never changing who He is. He is dependable. I will always be able to trust God.
The more I get to know Jesus and His consistent love toward me and others, the more I am able to take another look at trust.
